Rebecca Barnard comes from a rich musical family history, growing up listening to Billie Holiday and Louis Armstrong before discovering Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan when she was 14. From her first performance with her Dad's band at 13, to her extraordinary career with Rebecca's Empire and her solo albums Fortified and Everlasting, Rebecca has an extensive musical legacy. In addition, Rebecca has been a regular on TV and radio, conducts songwriting workshops for women, school students and intellectually disabled adults. She is also a founding member of Mirabel, a foundation established in 1998 to assist children who have been orphaned or abandoned due to parental illicit drug use. She is currently working on her next album due to be released in 2016.
